VOLT Robotics, formed in 2016, is an independent high school VEX competitive robotics team in Irvine, CA.  We were formed for the express purpose of providing students in the Tustin and Irvine Unified School Districts with another opportunity to compete in the annual VEX Robotics competition,  a game-based engineering challenge.  VOLT is a two-times VEX World Championship qualifier and four-times CREATE US Open qualifier competing against teams from China, Japan, South Korea, Canada, the UK and others.   We have won multiple tournament championships and VEX awards, and will have competed in the California State VEX Championship for 4 consecutive seasons since our formation.
